A Week of Firsts!

Hey readers!!!! I can't believe how long it's been since I've posted anything substantial . . . I suppose I can blame that on the fact that I'm taking a few nursing classes through the summer and life in general has been pretty busy. But here I am again!

This past week was a blast! Y'all may remember back in March when I blogged here about my visit with my dear friend , Ashlee , her husband , Daniel, and our mutual friend , Josh. Well, it just so happens that Josh is no longer just my friend , but he actually called my dad at the end of March to ask if he could pursue a courtship with me. This past week, after 2 very long months apart , Josh finally got to come up from North Carolina to meet my family! We packed our week with a lot of fun activities.

On Saturday , we went to my cousin Paul's graduation party - if meeting my immediate family the night before wasn't enough, Josh got to meet my dad's side of the family the very next day . . .
trying to find some shade . . . it was HOT!
Sunday was church and after resting a little in the afternoon, Josh and I went for a walk at the park.

On Monday, Josh and I and my family (minus Jacob) headed up to Cedar Point for the day.
Just after our first ride of the day- which was also Josh's first ever roller coaster! I could hardly believe that in 23 years of life, he'd NEVER been on a roller coaster  =O
My dad took this picture of Ian on one of the little coasters . . . I LOVE it
Josh and I took a break from the big coasters for a while and rode some of the smaller rides with Grace and Ian.

After eating a cool, refreshing blue raspberry icee!!!!

On Tuesday, we went to the Indian's game, which was Josh's first MLB game!

I have a few more pictures from our date on Wednesday night, but those'll have to wait till later!
