"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7
"Not only will He never leave you--that's the negative side of the promise--but He cares for you. He is not just there with you. He cares for you. His care is constant--not occasional or sporadic. His care is total--even the very hairs of your head are numbered. His care is sovereign--nothing can touch you that He does not allow. His care is infinitely wise and good so that again in the words of John Newton, 'If it were possible for me to alter any part of his plan, I could only spoil it.'"
--Jerry Bridges, Trusting God, p.199
I needed this today...and I could use your prayers. I have a nursing exam next Thursday, and I'm really overwhelmed by the material.

I know how impending big tests feel. I'll pray for you. It's one step of a long stairway, but every step is essential to connect the beginning to the end. Study hard; try to make random associations between those concepts that just won't seem to stay two seconds in your mind with something familiar. That has worked for me when I needed to recall a term that seemed determined to fly in one ear and out the other.
ReplyDeletePrepare more than you think you are capabale of. If you do, whatever happens on test day will not disappoint. I've fallen short of some pretty important academic goals, but the only ones which still bug me are the ones which I know I could have done more for to prepare. The ones to which I gave my all don't make me regret.
I'll pray for you this week! :-)
Awww, Kate. I'm sorry. I pray for you every night but now I know specifically WHAT to pray for!
ReplyDeleteLove and Love You.
Thanks guys!!!
