Weekend in Charlotte #1

This past weekend in Charlotte was a blast! I had a wonderful time on Friday evening with my dear friend, Ashlee Wells . . . we went shopping, watched movies, caught up on each other's lives,
and made cookies.

On Saturday Daniel came back in town after being in Florida for a few days. A mutual friend of ours, Josh, came to hang out with us as well.

Ashlee and I beat the guys in Cranium!!!!!!
We had a really great time on Saturday, complete with games of Scrabble, Clue, and Cranium, going to see The Dawn Treader in the cheap theater, and lunch at Chili's =D

On Sunday we went to church and got to hear Daniel preach on Samson. After church we headed down to Greenville, where I did a photoshoot of Ashlee and Daniel. Josh was awesome and carried all of our stuff around all afternoon--my camera bag, Ashlee's purse (he's pretty secure in his manhood =P), and whatever else we need him to . . .

Ashlee and Daniel are a super easy, fun couple to take pictures of! They posed themselves a lot of the time, and were totally laid back and open to doing crazy stuff.

We all enjoyed strolling the streets of downtown Greenville, and going into a few of the shops.

Daniel had this thing about wanting pictures of just him . . . the one on
the right is his LeBron James impersonation.

Spring WILL Come.

Tuesday was beautiful. It was 50 degrees and my friends and I drove through the country with the windows down.

On Wednesday it rained. It was gloomy, melancholy kind of day, but still around 45 degrees. The rain continued through Thursday, causing some major flooding.

On Thursday night the rain turned to SNOW. Yup, we got another foot. I had to scrape the snow of my car AGAIN. I got yet another snow day.

Today it's warm again and the snow's melting . . .more flooding =O Sometimes I wonder if God laughs at us when we say "SPRING IS COMING" because He knows there's another snowstorm just around the corner.

But nevertheless, we shouldn't lose heart because spring will come eventually. Even if it means we have yet another white Easter (good heavens, I should hope not though, seeing as Easter is at the end of April this year!), the promise of spring is as sure as God's promises to us!

Haybales, Hicksville, and Happiness =D

I posted a few pictures of my trip to southern Ohio, but those 2 pictures don't do our time together justice. We had an absolute blast!!!!

I picked my friend Ruby up after clinicals on Monday and we hit the road for 2 1/2 hours to the Clarke's. We were welcomed with open arms (6 sets of open arms, to be exact) into the house and enjoyed just hanging out, laughing, and talking for the evening.

Tuesday was Rachel Clarke's sweet 16!!!!!

After lunch, Ruby, Rachel, and I decided to go for a drive. The weather was a beautiful 50 degrees.

Jordan and McKenna came over on Tuesday evening dressed in
these hysterical outfits . . . they played their parts a little too well ;)

Be sure to watch this video . . . Jordan and Kenna serenaded Rachel with this song . . . it was SOSOSO funny!

Jordan brought pin the tail on the donkey "for all of us homeschoolers
who never got to go to the cool parties"

Wednesday was sad because we had to leave . . . but we left with so many awesome memories!

*Pictures taken my Rachel and myself. And I'm not patient enough to make ALL of these collages . . . but Rach is just that awesome!

It's a Beautiful Day . . .

Long Time, No Post . . .

My apologies for the lack of blog posts lately . . . I promise I'll get back to it! I've got some fun things coming up -a visit to St. Clairsville with my dear friend Ruby to see some of our friends and spring break in the south with family and friends. My hope is for those activities to generate at least a few blog posts =D

But, for now, I've got to get back to studying for tomorrow's nursing exam. O! But a major blessing of my day was to wake up, check my google reader, and find out that a picture that I posted to Pioneer Woman's photo contest 'Sisters' made it onto Group 1!!!!! Some of you might just recognize the subjects =) You can view the photo here  on my flickr, or follow this link to view the whole post (there are some beautiful pictures of sisters in there!).
